Waiting On Wednesday: The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski

Hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme to showcase upcoming releases that you’re excited for.

This week I’m excited for the conclusion to a trilogy that I’m so excited to conclude!

The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski

Book #3 in the Winner’s Trilogy

Expected Publication Date: March 29, 2016

Pre-Order: Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Synopsis: War has begun. Arin is in the thick of it with untrustworthy new allies and the empire as his enemy. Though he has convinced himself that he no longer loves Kestrel, Arin hasn’t forgotten her, or how she became exactly the kind of person he has always despised. She cared more for the empire than she did for the lives of innocent people—and certainly more than she did for him.

At least, that’s what he thinks.

In the frozen north, Kestrel is a prisoner in a brutal work camp. As she searches desperately for a way to escape, she wishes Arin could know what she sacrificed for him. She wishes she could make the empire pay for what they’ve done to her.

But no one gets what they want just by wishing.

As the war intensifies, both Kestrel and Arin discover that the world is changing. The East is pitted against the West, and they are caught in between. With so much to lose, can anybody really win?

I am so excited to read this! I loved the first book (the second one, not so much) and I just can’t wait to see how this concludes. Also, Kestrel is an amazing heroine and I adore everything about her. She’s very intelligent and I like the way she thinks and and strategizes. I really hope she gets her happily ever after because she definitely deserves it. I’m one of the few people who doesn’t like Arin though and I don’t like the thought of them together at all but, whatever. I’m still stoked about this even if I have to suffer through that.

What release are you excited about? Have you read this series? Let me know!
